Drama Club

It has been fantastic to see so many pupils attend Drama club this year! The sessions are great fun and pupils enjoy the games and devising activities which have been prepared for them. Due to overwhelming popularity, this year we have opened Drama club up to not only Year 7 & 8 but Year 9. Alongside performance, pupils take part in concentration games, energy games, trust games and improvisation exercises.

All pupils have shown a real passion and talent for drama which has helped in already creating some fantastic pieces of drama.

After half term, Drama Club will be working towards the U-Speak competition held at the Rose Theatre in December. We will be taking a select group of boys to compete in the solo acting category. The department are very confidant we have some winning talent in our midst.

Urban Street Moves

Urban Street Moves Club takes is roots from Street Dance and combines elements of Physical Theatre and Hip Hop. This new club only started last year and is already a huge success! The dancers, ranging from Year 7 to Year 11,  have been working hard this term learning a routine to N-Dubz We Dance On. After half-term the dancers will be working towards their first public performance. This will be part of a showcase of local school talent, called the Coombe Cluster. This will be held in January at the Rose theatre in Kingston. The performers are already looking forward to it!
