COOMBE FEDERATION EXAMINATION SUCCESS!
The two Coombe schools led by Carol Campbell, Headteacher, have improved their GCSE results this year and broken their own records. Mrs. Campbell said:
“The staff and students have worked exceptionally hard and these results show that the idea of collaboration can be highly effective. Sharing expertise and working together is making a real difference to our students and I am delighted with our results.”

Coombe Boys’ School improved its GCSE results from 45%(5 A*-C grades and equivalent)last year, to 48% this year surpassing the target of 41%! The figure for 5 GCSE A*-C grades including English and Mathematics and equivalent also improved from 27% to 34%. This is particularly encouraging and means the school has shown sufficient improvement to satisfy government concerns expressed earlier in the year by Secretary of State, Ed Balls.
