Coombe Boys’ Parents and Friends Association
Working together achieving success
The Coombe Boys’ School Parents and Friends Association (PFA) promotes and supports the school by raising funds for additional equipment needed by the school in consultation with staff and the student council.
How the PFA helps
PFA funds are used to help enhance learning and the boys’ time at School. In recent years, PFA contributions have included new bike sheds, an induction loop, wheelchair ramp in the sports hall, sports equipment, specialist lighting for Barton Hall, a new piano and art display cabinets. Between 2012-2014, our main aim is to raise funds for a new minibus. It’s an ambitious goal, but we believe that, with the continued support of parents, staff and pupils, it can be achieved.
How to get involved
The PFA is run by a small committee of parents, but all parents at Coombe Boys’ School are members of the PFA and we would like to invite all parents to get involved by taking part, helping and supporting the fundraising activities that are organised throughout the year.
We are always looking for new fundraising ideas, so do come along to the PFA meetings and see how you can help. Successful events have included our popular Quiz Night and Ladies Night - a relaxed and fun evening of pampering, tasting and shopping. There’s also our fantastic family-friendly Comedy Night and the main Summer Challenge, both new in 2013. See the Event Calendar for further details.
More ways to help
As well as events, there are a number of fundraising initiatives that you can support, including:
• See Tickets Promotions (West End Shows at heavily discounted prices)
• The Glasshouse fundraising offer
See the Fundraising page for more details.
