Coombe Boys’ Pupils ‘Step back in time’ at Summer School!
Sixty new Year seven pupils from Coombe Boys’ School gained a taste of the excitement to come when they signed up to participate in the Coombe Boys’ World War Two Summer School.
Pupils participated in a range of ‘World War Two’ themed activities over the three days including Code Breaking in the Maths suite, an opportunity to experience Physical Education in the 1940’s, the chance to experience ‘life as an evacuee’ in the Drama Studio and even ventured into London to the Imperial War Museum in order to undertake the ‘Blitz experience’!

The summer school which has been running for six years is an ideal opportunity for pupils starting in Year 7 to meet their new peers, teachers and familiarise themselves with the school site before the rest of the school community returns it was also an excellent opportunity for the pupils to glimpse the first phase of the exciting new building work.
