Welcome to Coombe Boys’ PFA!

We’re proud that the PFA plays such a pivotal role at Coombe Boys’ School – linking parents to the “Coombe-unity” through social events, as well as raising funds to buy additional equipment for the school.

What is the PFA

Coombe Boys’ PFA (Parents and Friends Association) is a group of Coombe Boys’ parents, carers, teachers, and members of the local community, who work together to support our boys’ school.

If you have a boy at Coombe you are automatically a member.

It’s a great way to meet other CBS families and learn more about the school but it’s completely up to you how much you want to be actively involved.

What does the PFA do?

We organise family-friendly, social events which bring the whole Coombe-unity together to have fun and we also provide refreshments at school-run events such as Parents’ Evenings and all the amazing drama and music showcases which take place throughout the year.

We are committed to helping the school with the extra resources needed to give all our boys the best possible education and the events and Crowdfunders we organise raise much-needed money to help us to do this.

How can parents get involved?

Families at Coombe Boys’ really care about their sons’ education and we all work together with the school to provide as much support as possible.

There are so many ways that you can get involved, depending on how much time you have and what you enjoy doing.

Here are some ideas:

  • Joining PFA meetings or emailing us to share your ideas

  • PTA Newsletters & social media

  • Bar stock (stock control & shopping)

  • Estate agent liaison for boards

  • Supermarket grants liaison eg Co-op Community grant, Waitrose green tokens  etc

  • Hosting an estate agents board

  • Helping out at events

  • Help with corporate sponsorship

  • Supporting our events and campaigns and spending money!
